Two Car Accident on State Route 16 Injures Three

According to the Coshocton County Sherriff's Department three people were injured following an accident that took place Friday evening.

At approximately 5:40 p.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office received a call in reference to a accident on State Route 16 near Township RD. 347. Once on the scene deputies found that a vehicle operated by 55-year-old Dennis Seifert was stopped in traffic when he was struck from behind by another vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle, Richard Franklin of Coshocton had two female passengers with him at the time of the accident. Both 53-year-old Cheryl Sheese and 16-year-old Brenda Roberts were transported to CCMH by EMS crews. a male passenger, Lemmie Franklin was transported to Grant Medical Center by Med Flight with more serious injuries.

Conesville Fire Department, REACT, MedFlight, and Prince's Wrecker Services also assisted on the scene. the accident remains under investigation.
