Man Charged in Utility Pole Crash

A Zanesville man has been charged with driving under the influence in a Saturday crash that knocked out power on Sonora Road.

The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol says 55-year-old Larry Dobbins of Zanesville has been charged with failure to control his vehicle and operating his vehicle while under the influence.Dobbins drove off Sonora Road, hitting two mailboxes and a utility pole. Dobbins was trapped in his vehicle, after hitting the utility pole. AEP was on scene to shut off power so Dobbins could safely get out of his vehicle. He was unharmed in the accident.
