Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz is warning area residents of a scam.  Lutz says his deputies are looking into an asphalt scam that they believe is happening across the state.  Sheriff Lutz says the suspects involved are Bill Boswell and Teddy Lee and they use fake business names like “Asphalt Construction” or “A-1 Paving”.  The Sheriff says Lee and Boswell will tell potential customers that they have asphalt left over from another job and try to lay the asphalt before quoting a price. Lutz says they will then over-charge and spread the asphalt thinner than required.  Anyone having contact with these two suspects or have information on any asphalt scams should contact Detective Randy Wilson at 740 452-3637 extention 6019 or email at rwwilson@ohiomuskingumsheriff.org.
