The Zanesville Appalachian Art Project has chosen its Artist of the Month for March.
The work of Rosemary Honnold will be on display for guests at the ZAAP gallery. This is the first time her art will be open to the public. Honnold creates a variety of different types of pieces and is excited to share them with others.
"I have landscapes of course and I like painting all types of things almost anything that will hold still for me to paint and as far as people I usually paint from a photograph," said Honnold.
Honnold worked as a librarian in Coshocton before retiring. She says while there she was exposed to art books and took on painting as a hobby. Now that she has more time she continues to build on her skills as an artist.
"I learn something from every piece I do and while I am working on it that's the one I love the most, so they one I love the most right now is at home and unfinished," said Honnold.
If you would like to see Honnold's work you can visit the ZAAP gallery from 5 to 8 p.m. during the First Friday Art Walk. There will be food and refreshments provided.
