Elder Beerman is offering shoppers a way to help the community and receive a few coupons in the process.
The bi-annual Goodwill Sale starts on Thursday and shoppers are encouraged to bring in their lightly used clothing and home items to Elder Beerman to benefit the local community through job creation.
"With Elder Beerman helping with everything the donations. We get some really great items so it helps us having more people coming into our store and everything which helps with our mission which is to provide development and employment to people with barriers," said Goodwill Manager, Cindy Snedden.
For the first five days shoppers will receive triple coupons for their donations and after that they will get one coupon for every donated items. The coupons range in discount from 15 to 25 percent and can be used on a variety of items.
"You can use the Goodwill coupons on things you normally can't like fragrances and electronics and cosmetics, and it's a 25 percent off coupon. and it's 15 percent for fragrances and it again it just depends on what it is," says Elder Beerman Manager, Annie Wolfer.
The sale will end on March 29, on that day Goodwill will bring one of their trucks to the mall to pick up large furniture items and other donations. Once they are done they will have a truck sale to end the donation drive.
