Authorities say a two vehicle accident on the Maysville Pike sent four people to the hospital.

The accident happened just before 11 a.m. Thursday near Eaglesticks Golf Course,

According to Trooper Campbell with the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol, 86-year-old Carl Finley of Zanesville was turning left from Sherwood Drive onto Maysville when he was struck by a westbound vehicle.

That vehicle was driven by 82-year-old June Harrier of Zanesville.

Trooper Campbell says Harrier along with two passengers in her vehicle as well as Finley were taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.

Finley was cited with failure to yield from a stop sign.

Trooper Campbell says the eastbound lanes of Maysville Avenue were shutdown for about a half hour as crews worked to clear the scene.
