There's a few extra water hazards on one local golf course following this weekend's rain.
The golf pro at Green Valley Golf Course on Dresden Road not so affectionately refers to one of the lakes on the course, used to water the greens, as "Lake Make No Money."
This weekend it lived up to its name as four inches fell on the course from Saturday into Monday morning.
"When the lake is like this golfers won't come out," explained Golf Pro Steve Galloway. "We were supposed to have a senior league Monday morning and unfortunately we're not playing that, so that's just money that we lose."
But, Galloway said Green Valley does drain well and expects his afternoon and evening groups to get out on the course, though the use of carts is still up in the air.
Once the water drains the maintenance staff will go to work.
"Our maintenance staff can't get out there to mow the greens and mow the fairways and tee boxes. The way the weather is right now everything is so wet, everything is growing so fast, just like your yards at home, everything gets so high and then you have to catch up," explained Galloway.
Galloway said he hopes the weather holds as people are itching to get outdoors after a difficult winter.
