A single car accident on Interstate 70 West slowed traffic Sunday afternoon.
The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. near mile marker 169 east of Zanesville. According to the Zanesville post of the State Highway Patrol, a red Mercury Sable GS driven by 64-year-old Richard Noll of Zanesville was traveling westbound when he made an improper lane change and lost control striking the outside guardrail. Both westbound lanes were closed for around 20 minutes. Once the scene was under control, the left lane was opened up while the accident was cleared. Both Noll and his passenger were not injured. Noll was cited for failure to control.
