70 Pounds of Pot In Drug Bust

 The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office says a drug bust this week netted 70 pounds of marijuana and the arrest of an area man. 

 Captain Jeff LeCocq an early Thursday morning raid resulted in the arrest of 33-year-old Ian Mikal Norris of Zanesville.  He has been charged with one count of possession of Marijuana.  

Norris was arrested after an investigation by the Sheriff's Office, The Central Ohio Drug Enforcment Task Force, Zanesville Police Department Joint Drug Unit and the Indiana State Police.

LeCocq says the estimated street value of the marijuana is $80,000. Norris could face 8 years in prison if convicted of the charge. 

 Also seized during the investigation was a 2008 Chevy Silverado Heavy Duty truck that could be forefeited as a result of the raid.  A small amount of U.S. currency was also confiscated during the investigaiton.   More arrests are possible.
