One person was taken by Med-Flight from the Blue Rock area Friday evening following an ATV accident.

A passenger was also injured in the accident on poverty ridge road. The State Highway Patrol says the two were driving unsafe for road conditions and were unable to maneuver a sharp curve. The ATV went off the side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Sgt. Melanie Appleman with the Highway Patrol says female passenger, Heather Davis suffered serious lower back injuries and the male driver, Brian Mitchell suffered severe head injuries. He was taken by Med-Flight to Grant Hospital in Columbus. Davis was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital.

At this time the patrol does not suspect alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
