The Y-bridge will be open starting tonight for pedestrians and traffic. It will be available for use by those who gather downtown to watch the fireworks tomorrow night at dusk. According to Steve Smith, construction area engineer of the Y-Bridge, there is still more work to be done on the bridge, part of the sidewalk will be closed, however, traffic will be maintained and it will not affect those who come to the bridge to see the fireworks display.

Two men charged with arson and causing 80-thousand dollars damage to a Coshocton home have pleaded not guilty in Coshocton county common pleas court. Todd Boyes and his father, Robert Boyes entered their pleas this week. Both men are also being questioned in the death of Benjamin Thompson. Thompson was found stabbed to death outside Alexandria and was supposed to be a key witness in the arson case.

22-year-old Lance A. Smith II pleaded guilty to one count of wreckless homicide in Muskingum County Court Monday. Smith was accused of accidentally shooting and killing his friend, Chad Kennedy at his home at 807 Luck Ave. In March of this year. Charges stemming from methamphetamine busts earlier this year resulted in a guilty plea Monday in Muskingum County Court. According to County Prosecutor, Mike Haddox, 43-year-old Larry W. Colebank of Frazeysburg pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine, one count aggravated posession of methamphetamine, two counts of aggravated posession of liquid morphine and two counts of aggravated posession of oxycodone. Muskingum County Law Enforcement find $75,000 in drugs, now two people are behind bars. 34-year-old Theophilus Nile Jr., originally of California and 28-year-old Tuesday Perry of Zanesville were formally charged today after a weekend drug raid. A newly opened business in Muskingum County will start scooping it up and dishing it out to travelers and area residents.
