Robert “Bob” F. Mills Sr. , 74 of Staker Hill Road, Blue Rock, passed away at 5 pm, at Good Samaritan Medical Center Emergency Room

Robert was born December 11, 1934, in Zanesville and is the son of the late

Frank and Grace Mitchell Mills. Bob worked at the Ohio Power Plant in Philo until its closing and then retired as a coal miner from Sidwell Brothers and he enjoyed living and farming in the Blue Rock area for over 50 years. Bob is a Navy veteran having served aboard the USS Randolph during the Korean Conflict.

Robert is survived by his wife Dormah (Pletcher) Mills whom he married November 10, 1956, two sons Robert “Butch” (Sheila) Mills Jr of Blue Rock, Howard (Susan) Mills of Blue Rock; two daughters are Luticia ( Matthew) Minter of Waverly, Cindy (Jon) Sheppard of Zanesville. 11 grandchildren Logan, Mariah, Nelson and Pauline Minter, Megan and Bradley Sheppard, Aaron and Austin Mills and Samantha, Paige and Daniel Mills; Two sisters Nancy Barnes of Cincinnati and Bonnie Musgrove of Zanesville.

Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, Monday at the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 11 am with Pastor Nathan Nordine officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville. George Selsam VFW Post #1058 will hold military services at the cemetery.
