Tommy Lee Dennis, 56 of New Lexington, passed away Saturday November 21, 2009 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House.
Tommy was born in Flint Ridge , Ohio on January 27, 1953 to the late John Ellis and Dora Kinney Dennis. Tommy was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He also loved working on automobiles and riding lawn mowers, he could fix anything. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and enjoyed playing horseshoes and cornhole.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife Tonya Fortney Dennis of 32 years; son Tommy (Susie) Dennis of Roseville; daughter Ginger (Matt) Howell of Adamsville; grandchildren Hailey and Jacob Howell and Kale Dennis. He is also survived by special friends Jim Emory and John (Carole) Tyson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Raymond, Charles, Fred, Benny, Russell, Delbert and John E. Dennis Jr.; sisters Sarah Dupler, Martha Kinney, Dorothy Kinney, Ruth Buck, Mayme Shirkey, and Laverne Dennis.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday November 24, 2009 from 2pm to 4 pm and from 6 pm to 8 pm at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, CROOKSVILLE CHAPEL, 207 Burley Street , Crooksville. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 25, 2009 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Wilbur McKee officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery . The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the cancer unit at Good Samaritan Hospital.
