Warren "Butch" Lent (December 1, 1950 - December 20, 2009)

Warren William “Butch” Lent Jr., 62, of Chandlersville, OH went to be with his Lord at 10 am on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Butch was born November 15, 1947 in Zanesville the son of the late Warren William Sr. and Betty Ellen (Kovaleski) Lent.

Butch was employed by the New Bakery where he worked for 28 years, he previously worked for the Ohio Ferro Alloy in Philo for 15 years, and he was a past member of the Wayne Twp. and Washington Twp. Volunteer Fire Departments. He was a faithful member of the Tree of Life Church. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family, his friends and his vacations to Tybee Island.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Jean (Cohagan) Lent whom he married June 15, 1968; his mother-in-law Esther “Jean” Cohagan of Zanesville his sons Kenneth William Lent of Westerville, Warren Michael (Misty) Lent of Marion, IN, Adam Paul (Bekki) Lent of Zanesville and Jonathan Lowell (Amy) Lent of Zanesville; his daughters Katrina Ann Lent of Zanesville and Christina Marie Lent (Royce) Holliday of Coolville; and children of his heart Chuck and Laura Waggle and Adam and Vanessa Beardsley; his brother John Smith (Francis) Lent of Pennsville; his sisters Carolyn Jo (Dave) Irvin of Zanesville and Mary Ellen Lent of New Concord; “Grandpa” “Papaw” Butch loved his grandchildren Karleigh Lent, Jordan Lent, Ryan (Chunk-a-munk) Holliday, Keelyn Lucas, Kassidy Lucas, Kendall Lent, Caleb Lent, Anna Jo Lent, and many other grandchildren of his heart. He also loved his puppy Tybee.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Ann Lent Hardy.

Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm Tuesday, December 22 at the Tree of Life Church, 2220 Chandlersville Road, Zanesville and from 10 to 11 am Wednesday at the Church, where Funeral Services will be held at 11 am with his “Best bud” Pastor Thomas Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
