Floyd D. Loomis, 87, of Avondale, passed away at 10:55 PM on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at the Hospice Morrison House surrounded by his family..
Floyd was born November 7, 1922 in Smith Center, Kansas to the late Benjamin H and Addie Pattin Loomis Newburn.
Floyd was a self employed plasterer working out of the Union Hall and worked for the Maysville School District. He was an WW II Army veteran.

Surviving is his wife Marguerite Farmer Loomis whom he married February 11, 1950, a marriage of 59 years. His daughter Cathy Garrett of South Zanesville, His three sons Mark Loomis of Sarasota, Florida, Jon (Jan) Loomis of Bradenton Florida, and Greg (Julie)Loomis of Millersburg.
Grandchildren are Bradley Loomis and Tara Loomis

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers L.D. Loomis,Ogal Loomis and Hardy G. Loomis. A sister Eudora Wilson. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Morrison House.
A private burial will be held with burial in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
