Stella Stotts, 86 of Old River Road, Philo passed away at 5:50 am on Saturday, January 2, 2010, at Willow Haven Nursing Home.

Stella was born January 4, 1923 in High Hill, the daughter of the late Samuel and Sara Blackford Sines. She was a homemaker, a member of the American Legion ladies auxiliary and she attended the Duncan Falls Baptist Church.

She is survived by her Brother Dick Birkhimer of Boston, MA, three sisters Norma Snack, Sara McDaniel and Kay Farley all of Zanesville, nieces Amber Caplinger of Zanesville, Carla Arbuckle of Zanesville and a special niece Diane Caplinger of Zanesville, her nephews Calvin Snack, Bobby Snack and Scott Caplinger, Fritz Dale and Allen Griffin and her special friends Robert and Sondra Phillip of Philo.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Stotts who passed away Dec 5, 1998 her ‘Mother’ Nellie Birkhimer, three brothers Carlos, Gary and Robert Birkhimer and a sister Betty Roe.

Visitations will be 6 to 8 pm Monday, Jan 4th at Thompson Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where the funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday with Rev. Gerry Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
