Margaret Samson, 89, of Zanesville, passed away Sunday, March 7 2010 at her residence. Margaret was born May 29, 1920 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Harlan E. and Marie (Anderson) Marple.

Margaret was a farmer and homemaker and a member of the Duncan Falls Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son David (Linda) Gibbs of Zanesville; a brother Ray “Bud” Marple of Zanesville; a sister Elsie Black of Zanesville; her grandchildren Angela Dusenbery, April Devoll, David R. Gibbs, Gene M. Gibbs, Scott B. Gibbs, Adonia D. Gibbs, Wanda I Wood, Alvah R. Wood, Ann M. Wood and Richard Harris, her step grandchildren Debbie, David Lee and Tonia; 30 Great Grandchildren and 12 step-great grandchildren, and a special friend of 40 years Sue Woerner.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her 1st husband Richard R. Gibbs and her 2nd husband Gerald Samson; her brothers Harled Marple, Burnard Marple and Eddie Marple and a grandson Robert L. Harris.

Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Tuesday March 9th, at the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday with Gerry Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
