DOROTHY “PEARL” CRABTREE, 87, of Roseville passed away at her residence Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Dorothy was born in Roseville May 9, 1923 to the late Thomas and Hattie Rupe Shipley. She was the owner and operator of Pearl’s Beauty Shop in Roseville for 48 years. She was a very hard worker, a member of the Crooksville Free Methodist Church and the Roseville American Legion Auxiliary.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Daniel of Roseville, a brother Gene (Gloria) Shipley of Roseville and a sister Doris (Bernard) Humphrey of of Zanesville; two grandchildren: Edward Daniel and Diana Daniel of Roseville and two great-grandchildren: Nicholas & Morgan Daniel and a great-great-granddaughter Alaina Daniel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Crabtree, a son William Crabtree, and two brothers Jack and Tom Shipley.
Calling hours will be Friday, March 12, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at THE ROSEVILLE CHAPEL OF THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 33 North Main St., Roseville, Oh. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 13 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Jeff Geyer. Burial will follow at Mt. Horeb Cemetery.
