Ferrell Lowe, 80, of Zanesville went home to be with God on Sunday morning April 11, 2010 surrounded by his loved ones. Ferrell was born in Pike County, KY on June 27, 1929. He served as a minister for several churches of Christ in Ohio and began his ministry in Eastern Kentucky in 1963. He worked at Rockwell International for many years and was the founder of Lowe’s Bargain Barn on Maysville Pike. He loved going to auctions and playing his guitar and banjo. He was an accomplished musician. He served our country and protected our freedom in the military during the Korean War from 1951 – 1953.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Mullins Lowe whom he married on September 27, 1953. Three children; Gregory Ferrell (Anne)Lowe of Helsinki, Finland; Paul Bradley (Wendy) Lowe of Zanesville; Barbara Lynn “Barbie” (Mark) Allen of Philo. Six Grandchildren; Benjamin Gregory (Jessica) Lowe, Rachael Amelia Lowe, Gracie Ann Lowe, Seth Robert Allen, Jacob Ferrell Allen and Leah Madison Allen.
Calling hours will be from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM Thursday, April 15, 2010 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 W. Military Road Zanesville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 16 in the SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL conducted by Keith Kress minister of the Norval Park Chruch of Christ. The George Selsam VFW Post 1058 will conduct Military Honors at the graveside with burial at Zanesville Memorial Park.
