Thelma Rosalie Vore, 93, of Zanesville, passed away Thursday morning, May 06, 2010 at her residence. Thelma was born in Zanesville, February 17, 1917 the second daughter of the late George E. and Hazel Geyer Edwards. She was a dedicated employee of Mosaic Tile and Lear. She was an excellent cook and pie baker.
Thelma is survived by her two daughters Marlene (Clarence) Tyson of Norwich, Oh. and Sandra of the home; two grandaughers: Darlene (Gary) Ballantine of Norwich and Diana (Colt) Jackson of Zanesville; nine great grandchildren: Veronica (Bryan) Kelly, Cory, Jeff, Elizabeth, Rebeckah, Carrie, Tyler, Samuel and Andrew Ballantine ; four step-great great grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Ridenour of Mt. Perry; sister-in-law Janet Edwards and brother-in-law Bernard Drake and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Harold, Robert, Don, George Edwards Jr., William, Bernard and Richard; sisters: Dorothy Offenbaker, Ruth Coovert, Mary Kirkbride, June Kirkbride, Bonnie Drake, Opal Hale and Betty Edwards. Calling hours will be 11 am – 1 pm, Monday, May 10, 2010 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W. MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE . Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Monday in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Charles Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Sterling Cemetery.
