Betty L. Cooper, 83, of Zanesville, died at 4:05 am Saturday July 24, 2010 at the Muskingum County Home.
She was born March 14, 1927 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Denzil and Hilda Zollars Cooper. Betty retired as an elementary school teacher for Zanesville City Schools. She was a member of First Christian Church where she served as a Deaconess and was a member of the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class. She enjoyed doing crafts such as crocheting and making jewelry.
Betty is survived by brothers: Donald (Ida) Cooper and Kenneth (Margo) Cooper all of Zanesville, nieces: Jane Cooper, Susan (Todd) Thompson, Sharon Bauer, Karen Sprankle and Cynthia (Brent) Glass, nephew: K. Brian Cooper, great nieces and nephews: Courtney, Curtis, Logan, Carson, Rachel, Ashley, Seth, Jacob and Matthew and 2 great great nieces and 2 great great nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation for Betty will be 2-4 and 6-8 Monday July 26, 2010 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave. Zanesville where funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday July 27, 2010 with Rev. Aaron Phillips officiating. Committal service will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
