NAOMI R. KIRBY, 74, Chandlersville.

Naomi went home to be with the Lord, Friday evening, November 26, 2010 at Good Samaritan Emergency Room as the result of an automobile accident.

Naomi was born June 28, 1936 in Rural Dale the daughter of the late Glenwood and Winifred (Shilling) Mitchell. She worked for Goss Supply Company as a secretary for 12 years, she also worked for Essix Wire and United Technologies on Cermic Ave, Conns Potato Chips and Pharmpak, she also enjoyed volunteering at the Wilds and East Side Community Ministries. She was a 1954 graduate of Philo High School, a member of Gideons International; she was a member of the Ark Spring Baptist Church where she was active with the Women’s Mission Group.

Naomi is survived by her son Patrick & Karen Green of GA, a brother Glenn & Linda Mitchell, two sisters Jeannette & Larry Woodward and Sue & Larry Williamson and two grandchildren Michael and Tyler Green and her companion Ronald Wilson.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Paul L. Kirby who passed away February 27, 2002 and a son Brian Green who passed away in 1963.

Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Monday at the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday at the Ark Spring Baptist Church with Rev Paul Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Ark Spring Cemetery.
