Arla C. Davy, 94, of Zanesville, died at 11:48 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Forest View Health Campus. She was born December 24, 1917 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Arthur James and Lottie Monroe Dickey. She had worked for Mosaic Tile and Top Value Stamps. Arla was a member of First Christian Church-Disciples of Christ, West Muskingum Lions Club and Bethesda Hospital Junior Women’s.
Surviving are a son, Patrick (Donna) Davy of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Richard (Tina) Davy of Zanesville and Ann (Chad) Howard of Zanesville; three great grandchildren, Brooke Davy , Luke and Brody Howard; a sister, Barbara Boals of Roanoke ,Virginia; a brother, Randle Dickey of West Palm Beach, Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Davy and a son, John Davy; three sisters, Phyllis Simms, Peggy Crossmock and Genevieve Russell; three brothers, Stanley, Byron and Floyd Dickey.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. till service time at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville with Pastor Aaron Philips officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Jack, at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
