Jerry R. Clark, 59, of Zanesville, passed away at 10:43 AM Friday December 21, 2012 at his residence following a sudden illness.
He was born Feb. 21, 1953 in Zanesville to the late Duane R. “Sam” and Wanda J. “Joyce” Alton Clark.
Jerry was a retired teacher at Mid-East Ohio Vocational School where he also served as advisor for the VICA organization, an Army veteran and a long standing A.A. member.
He is survived by his wife: Sallie (Shoults) Clark of Hopewell, sister, Toni T. Hughes of Columbus; Step-mother, Shirley “Skip” Clark of Zanesville; step-brother, Tom McPeck and half-brother, Gary Clark both of Zanesville; Brothers-in-law, Kevin (Sue) Shoults, Keith (Patricia) Shoults, Johanna (Douglas) Hartfield and Lois (Richard) Bibart; Several nieces and nephews, great nieces & nephews, and several students from Muskingum-Perry Career Center that were like children to Jerry & Sallie.
Jerry was preceded in addition to his parents by his parents-in-law, Raymond E. & Frances E. Shoults.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 31st , 2012 at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with memorial funeral service to follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Herb Perry officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
