Cumberland -- Regina Mae Williams passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville on Wednesday, February 26th, she was 79 years old. She was born on June 7th, 1934 to Willis and Verna Wickham.
Regina was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who loved to cook, and made amazing foods. She could prepare an intense chili, a moth-watering goulash, and fantastic salad. Regina would also make some of the best desserts you ever ate. She also enjoyed growing flowers and sewing. Her greatest pleasure came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Darrell Kelso, her daughter, Nancy Kelso, Her brother, Russell “Bud” Wickham, her parents, and her husband of 55 years, Virgil Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Billy) Wheeler, her son, Kenny (Linda)Kelso, her son, Eddie (Etta) Williams, her sister Ruth (Joe) Harr, her sister, Freda (Clyde) Butler, her 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Calling hours will be held at the Farus Funeral Home in Cumberland on Saturday, March 1st from 4 to 6PM. Services will be held on Sunday, March 2nd at 1PM, with calling hours starting at Noon. Burial will follow at Cumberland cemetery. Rev. Bill Abrams will be officiating.
