An important recall for all you mothers and expectant mothers should know about. More than two million cribs have been recalled due to concern babies can be coming trapped and then strangle or suffocate.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall. The majority of the cribs are drop-side cribs and the commission says the side rail that moves up and down can partially detatch from the crib and create a life-threatening gap.
There have been 16 cases of infants becoming trapped, but no deaths reported. Consumers should contact their cribs' manufacturer to obtain a repair kit.
Cribs involved in the recall include cribs by Jardine, Delta, Child Craft, Million Dollar Baby, Simmons, LaJobi and Evenflo.
Evenflo, based in Miamisburg, Ohio, has the largest number of cribs recalled at 750,000.
