Head Coach Jim Tressel said Wednesday that WR Chris Vance will not be with the team for Saturday's game at Purdue. Vance is in Fort Myers, FL, where his brother's funeral will be held on Saturday. Vance's brother, Percy Burton, was shot and killed last Saturday morning. Vance still played that day against Minnesota and caught a touchdown pass, but he will not make the trip to West Lafayette this weekend.

Strong Safety Mike Doss was named a semi-finalist for the Jim Thorpe award, given to the nation's top defensive back. The senior on the list last year as well, but did not win the award, which will be announced next month.

Maurice Clarett still hasn't been given medical clearance by doctors to play this Saturday. The freshman sensation injured his shoulder against Penn State and did not play last week versus Minnesota. Clarett is currently listed as Questionable.
