Arizona police arrested a 19-year-old on suspicion of killing Reds outfielder Dernell Stenson Thursday. Reginald Riddle has not been formally charged with murder, but his half brother, 43-year-old Kevin Riddle, has been charged with possession of stolen property. The elder Riddle was found driving Stenson's SUV about two hours after the murder.
The 25-year-old Stenson, who made his major league debut this season with the Reds, was shot and killed late Wednesday. His body had been shot, the run over and apparently dragged for a while by his SUV. Stenson had been playing in the Arizona fall league.
Police are seeking another suspect in connection with the murder, identified as 20-year-old David Griffith.
