Jeff Buchanan took over as the Newark head coach two seasons ago to replace Scott Beery, who was coming off back to back 4-6 years. It was going to be a rebuilding situation for the Wildcats and in the end after two seasons newark will need man to finish the rebuilding

Earlier  this evening Jeff Buchanan resigned as the head coach of the Wildcats after going just 1-19 with the crimson and white. Buchanan had been successful in stops at Newark Catholic and Watkins Memorial where he accumulated 120 wins and guiding both of those schools to playoff berths. The search for a new coach will begin immediately for the Wildcats who will look to turn things around as soon as possible
