The Term "Linsanity" normally describes the sudden rise of New York Knicks superstar Jeremy Lin.  However, on Saturday night in Winland Memorial Gymnasium, that term could be used to describe Collin Linnabary.  The senior bench player scored 12 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, to lead John Glenn to a come-from-behind victory and back-to-back sectional titles.  It was a little revenge for the Muskies, who lost 43-40 in overtime at Dover earlier in January.

In a defensive slugfest, the teams were locked at six all after one quarter before the Tornadoes took a 17-10 lead into the locker room.  After Dover scored the first bucket of the third, John Glenn slowly chipped away at the deficit, cutting it to 23-20 heading into the fourth quarter.  Down 28-26, Linnabary went to work, tying the game with a putback off a miss, then laying it in to give them their first lead at 30-28.  Dover got as close as one before "Linsanity" struck again, getting another tough finish inside to make it 34-31 with under 30 seconds to go.  The Tornadoes had three chances to tie and force overtime in the closing seconds, but couldn't get it done.

Zack Atkins led the Muskies with a game high 16 points.  Mason Mamarella had 11 points in the loss for the Tornadoes.  John Glenn will face New Philadelphia, who beat Claymont 69-55 this afernoon in the district finals on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Winland Memorial Gymnasium.

It wasn't the prettiest game Todd Rock has ever seen but the result looked right to him and the Bishops as they advance into the District Tournament. Zak Kirkbride was saddled with foul trouble most of the night so Jared Dalton took over the guard scoring duties tying his season high with 12 points to help pace the Bishops. Of course Aaron Parry was his usual dominate self as he tallied 14 to lead the red and black while Ian Durrant added 11 to help the Bishops survive.

Rosecrans jumped out to an early double digit lead before Zack Dornon caught fire and rallied the Shamrocks in the second quarter. When Kirkbride picked up his third foul the Bishops had a double digit lead, but Dornon quickly brought Barnesville back to a 24-24 tie, before the Bishops were able to gain a four point advantage heading to the locker room at half time.

In the second half the Bishops held Zack scorless but Payton Dornon was able to tally nine of his 11 points to keep the Shamrocks close, but it was good foul shooting and defense that propelled the Bishops back into the District Tournament.
