They have been losing for 19 straight years and with the end of that streak in sight the Pirates have decided to take an all in approach. After losing to the Cubs 5-1 and sliping in the NL Central the Bucs made a deal to acquire left handed pitcher Wandy Rodriguez for three prospects.

Pittsburgh is shipping Rudy Owens, who has spent all season at Triple A Indianapolis, along with Colten Cain, and Robbie Grossman to the Astros for Rodriguez. Wandy is 7-9 on the season with Houston and has an ERA of 3.79 during the season. The Astros will chip in on the huge deal that Rodriguez signed a few years back and he will report to Pittsburgh and joing the Pirates as soon as possible.
