A deal that did not come at last years trade deadline has finally been completed for Zanesville's Kevin Martin. Late this evening it was confirmed by league sources that Martin along with Jeremy Lamb and future draft picks were shipped to Oklahoma City in exchange for James Harden, former Buckeye Daequan Cook, Lazar Hayward, and Cole Aldrich.
Martin is entering the last year of his current deal with the Rockets will now go from a fringe NBA playoff contender to an NBA championship contender. According to the earlier report from Yahoo.com, the Thunder made the deal because they couldn't come to a long term agreement with Harden. Martin has averaged close to 18.5 points per game during his career to go along with his outstanding three point ability and foul shooting.
Martin was a first round draft pick of the Sacramento Kings back in 2004 and is 29 years old.
