Since leaving the Zanesville Blue Devil program after his senior year, Cedric Harris has had some interesting stops a long the way.

He started at Wheeling Jesuit before taking two years off and then transferring to West Liberty. Yesterday all that waiting and hard work paid off.

Harris was named Tuesday a consensus All American in the Division II ranks for his performance for the Black and Gold this season. The point guard not only averaged nearly 18 per game for the Toppers but he also ranked nationally in assists, steals and assist/turnover ratio.

His career record with west Liberty is 96-6 and he ranks as one of the top toppers in scoring, assists and steals.

Harris over came a rough start and foul trouble to score 16 points in the Hilltoppers 85-75 win over defending champion Drury. West Liberty advances to take on S.C. Aiken at 9:30 pm March 27.
