SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Ronnie Ash began his day by becoming the first in the world since 2012 to break the 13-second barrier in the 110 hurdles.

He ended it on a golf cart being driven slowly out of Hornet Stadium, bandages around his right ankle and left wrist, with two big bags of ice secured tightly around his right knee and left shoulder.

JOLIET, Ill. (AP) — Matt Hagan won the Route 66 NHRA Nationals on Sunday to end an 11-event victory drought, beating Don Schumacher Racing teammate Tommy Johnson Jr. in the Funny Car final.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Brittney Griner blocked 11 shots to set a single-game WNBA record and added 21 points to lead the Phoenix Mercury to an 80-77 victory over the Tulsa Shock on Sunday.
