BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Indiana women's basketball coach Curt Miller resigned Friday after just two seasons, citing health and family reasons.

In a statement, athletic director Fred Glass said he respected Miller's decision and credited Miller for leaving the program in good shape. The school provided no additional details about Miller's health.

ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta Dream coach Michael Cooper has had surgery for tongue cancer.

The WNBA team said Friday that Thursday's procedure was successful and Cooper "will be back coaching soon."

The team announced Monday that the 58-year-old Cooper has early stage tongue cancer. Assistant coach Karleen Thompson is filling in.

LONDON (AP) — Didier Drogba has rejoined Chelsea two years after leaving the London club.

The 36-year-old Ivory Coast striker, who was a free agent, signed a season-long deal Friday with the Premier League club.

Drogba left the Blues after scoring the penalty kick in May 2012 that gave the team the Champions League title. He has since played in China and Turkey.
