ARRAS, France (AP) — Tour de France riders are heading toward Champagne country.

The pack has set off on a 194-kilometer (120 mile) Stage 6 on Thursday — a day after defending champion Chris Froome droped out of the race after crashing twice and suffering a wrist injury.

The course from Arras to Reims is mostly flat and should favor a sprint finish, though rainy weather could have an impact.

Vatican spokesman, the Rev. Federico Lombardi, said Thursday that the hour of the final is late for Francis' routine, and acknowledged with a chuckle that Benedict wasn't known as an avid sports fan. Still, he didn't rule anything out, saying, "we'll see in the coming days...

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Like many young baseball players, Aaron Senne dreamed of fame and fortune when he signed his first contract as a Miami Marlins draft choice after a record-breaking college career at Missouri.

Reality as a low-level minor leaguer was far different: vending machine dinners, bug-infested apartments and a salary with an equivalent hourly wage less than what fast-food workers make

Senne and former minor-league players in each of the 30...

But this game will be about much more than that.

Argentina has shown that it can play just as...
