LOS ANGELES (AP) — Alexi Amarista had two hits and drove in a run, Eric Stults combined with three relievers on a six-hitter and the San Diego Padres defeated the NL West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers 4-1 on Wednesday night.

SEATTLE (AP) — Chris Wondolowski tapped in a point-blank shot in the 65th minute on Wednesday night and the San Jose Earthquakes came back from the worst lost in franchise history to pull out a 1-1 draw against the Seattle Sounders.
