CLEVELAND (AP) — Twenty-thousand runners are participating in the Cleveland marathon and related races this weekend.

In addition to Sunday morning's marathon, the weekend races include a half-marathon, 10-kilometer, 5-kilometer and Kid's Run events.

The starting and finishing lines are located along downtown Cleveland's Lake Erie waterfront.

DENVER (AP) — Michael Cuddyer says he doubts his neck will bother him again this season after getting an epidural that relieved pain and stiffness and allowed him to return to throwing and taking batting practice Saturday.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis Cardinals have placed left-hander Jaime Garcia on the 15-day disabled list with a left shoulder strain.

General manager John Mozeliak says the team became aware of the issue about a week ago and had hoped Garcia could work through it. He was charged with six runs and six hits over 5 1-3 innings in a 7-6 victory over Milwaukee on Friday, improving to 5-2 while his ERA increased from 2.88 to 3.58.

BALTIMORE (AP) — Oxbow has won the Preakness, ruining Orb's bid to capture the Triple Crown.

Oxbow led from start to finish. It was the sixth Preakness victory for Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas and 15th Triple Crown victory, most in horse racing history.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Houston Astros activated second baseman Jose Altuve from the bereavement list Saturday after he missed the previous three games while attending his grandmother's funeral in Venezuela.
