In 1955, Downntown Zanesville was the site of a Hollywood premiere. The premiere was a result of enough residents buying Christmas Seals early, making the local TB Association winner of first place in the nationwide seal sale contest. Hollywood stars, Tab Hunter, Natalie Wood, Adell August, Fred Clark, and George O'Hanlon visited Zanesville for the premiere. The stars were welcomed to Zanesville with a parade featuring a Spad plane actually flown by Gen. Billy Mitchell. The movie "The Court Martial of Billy Mitchell" premiered at both the Liberty and Weller Theaters.
It's 1955 all over again!
