Musk. Valley Council, Boy Scouts Receive Community Impact Funding

Meg Deedrick, Executive Director of the United Way of MPM and Blair Tom, United Way of MPM Investment Committee Chair will present a check for $5,000 to Ed Mulholland, Executive Director of The Muskingum Valley Council of Boy Scouts of America on Friday, January 15th, @ 2:00 pm at the McIntire Library, Meeting Room B in the lower level of the library.
The Community Impact Grant funds will be used to develop a Learning for Life Explorer Post Program designed specifically for youth involved in the juvenile court system. The goal of the program is to increase the success of juveniles re-entering the community by strengthening individual characteristics that enable them to be successful in adverse situations.
United Way of MPM is committed to investing in community agencies that demonstrate measurable outcomes in the tri-county area. Grant applications were reviewed by the United Way of MPM Investment Committee, a group of volunteers representing the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
