Last week gas prices in Zanesville and surrounding areas averaged around $3.24 a gallon, according to AAA. On Friday, the average price in Zanesville has increased about 20 cents to $3.42, upsetting many drivers.
Brad Tyo said, "I think the last time I got it, it was $3.10 or $3.11. I'm definitely trying to hold off as long as I can until I absolutely need gas, hopeful it goes back down here in the next few days or the next week."
According to the Ohio Department of Public Safety, in 2013, alcohol contributed to over 12,000 accidents and almost 500 deaths on Ohio's roads.

The AAA Auto Club is expecting 43.4 million Americans to be traveling this Thanksgiving, including 1.68 million Ohioans.
