A 9-year-old boy was taken by Med-Flight to Children's Hospital in Columbus after being struck by a car Tuesday afternoon in Licking County.
It happened on Ohio 79 just north of Newark around 3:30. According to Trooper Wilson, with the Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol the boy was on the eastside of 79 attempting to cross to the westside when he was struck by a southbound vehicle.

It happened on State Route 751 around 12:30 p.m.
The Sheriff's Office says Thomas Scinana of Bedford was traveling south when he went left of center and off the roadway into a soy bean field. A hospital spokesperson says he is in serious condition.

State Highway Patrol Sergeant Jeremy Mendenhall of the Zanesville Post says Mary Bell was traveling south when she went off the left side of the road, struck an embankment, and overturned. She was not injured in the incident.
