A Wooster man is dead after a two vehicle accident late this morning.

It happened around 11 a.m. on State Route 83 in Guernsey County, one mile north of Cumberland.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 39-year-old Algernon Rufat of Albany was traveling south in a Ford dump truck when he collided with 55-year-old Jerry Birkes who was traveling north in a Chevy Duramax truck.

A two vehicle accident closes the northbound lanes of State Route 93 in Crooksville for about an hour.

It happened around four p.m. in front of Blacker's Pharmacy near Buckeye Street.

Lancaster Post Trooper Matthew Tharp says the driver of the silver car was attempting to make a right hand turn from Buckeye Street onto State Route 93, when he collided with the driver of a gray Ford truck, who was traveling northbound.

Two people are taken to Good Samaritan Hospital after an accident on Maple Avenue.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. near Locust Avenue.

Zanesville Police Lieutenant Tony Coury says 50-year old Shawn Riley and his passenger, 70-year-old Mary Graves, were traveling south on Maple Avenue when they were rear-ended by 19-year-old James Craig and his passenger, 18-year-old Brittany Hollingshead.

Riley and Graves were transported with what ZPD is calling non life-threatening injuries...

Two people are sent to Good Samaritan Hospital after a two car accident.

It happened around nine p.m. on the road surrounding the Colony Square Mall.

Zanesville Police Patrolman Bo Bollinger says the driver of a white Ford truck was attempting to move into the right lane when it struck the Ford Focus. He says the driver and passenger in the Focus did sustain minor injuries from the crash. No one in the Ford truck was hurt.

The accident remains under investigation.

A Columbus couple is in good condition at Grant Medical Center after a boating accident last evening.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. on Buckeye Lake near Fireman's Island in Licking County.

Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Watercraft spokesman, John Wisse, says an 18-foot bass boat, carrying 47-year-old Brian Trudeau and his wife 41-year-old Cindy, collided with a 21-foot pleasure boat, carrying 23-year-old Justin Morrison and his brother 27-year-old Tom Huskey....

A two car accident shuts down a street in South Zanesville

A head-on collision closed Grant Cliff Road for more than an hour this afternoon.
Trooper Todd Henry from the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol says both drivers will be cited.

"The Ford Ranger behind us was Angela Mock she failed to yield half the roadway the Hyundai Tiburon driven by Dustin Burr he was not able to avoid her and we have a head on collision."

Five people are injured after a two-car collision on Maysville Pike Friday evening.

It happened just before 5 p.m.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol Sargeant Chuck Merryman, a silver Chevrolet truck was going eastbound on Maysville Pike/US-22 and a Black GMC Jimmy was traveling westbound.

The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office says an accident around 5 p.m. has shut down the west bound lanes of U.S. 22 from K-Mart to the Woodbury Apartments.

Our reporter on the scene indicates the accident was between a silver Chevy truck and black GMC Jimmy. They are using the Jaws-of-Life to cut open the truck. Both adults and children were involved in the accident. At least six people were injured, one of which was taken to the hospital by Med-Flight.

A three-car accident sends three people to the hospital.

It happened at about 8:45 p.m.

Two of the three injured were transported by Perry Township EMS to Good Samaritan Hospital. The third was transported to Bethesda.

None of the three sustained life-threatening injuries.

Three people are sent to the hospital after a one car accident this afternoon.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. on Stine Road.

Trooper Troy Hale says the driver of the blue Envoy went off the right side of the road, struck a tree, and overturned.

The driver and two passenger were injured and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital. Their conditions are not known at this time.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation, but Hale says it appears it was caused by driver...
