One woman is sent to the hospital after an accident in downtown Zanesville.

It happened around 5 p.m. in front of the John McIntire Library.

Lieutenant Tony Courey says a woman was traveling northbound on 6th Street when she struck a parked car in the right lane.

"She hit it hard enough to cause it to get sideways and then turnover, " says Courey.

Courey says the accident caused heavy damage to both cars and the driver was injured.

Three people are sent to the hospital after a morning accident near Newark.

The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol says an SUV was traveling east on Dutch Lane Road around 7:15 a.m , when it failed to stop at the State Route 661 intersection and struck a van, traveling south on State Route 661.

Trooper Randy Lewis says the SUV crossed State Route 661, rotated off the left side of the road, and then struck a traffic sign.

One person is sent to the hospital after a late morning accident.

It happened around 11:15 a.m. on State Route 13 near Utica.

The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol says the accident closed a portion of State Route 13 for a couple hours because a broken pole needed repaired.

The cause of the accident still remains under investigation.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a Sunday night accident.

Troopers say 38-year-old Russel Pride was driving his buick around 54-95 Pinkerton Road when he lost control of the vehicle, crashing into a ditch. Newtown Township also responded to the scene.

"No they seem fine. It was minor injuries," explained Newton Township Firefighter Bryce Cooper. "The driver had a couple of scraps and bruises, but fine pretty much."

A man is in critical but stable condition after an overnight accident along Interstate 77 in Noble County.

It happened just before 1 a.m. near milepost 26.

The State Highway Patrol says 49-year-old Paul Lovejoy of Thornville drove left of center, struck the median, overturned, and was ejected.

Lovejoy was initially taken to Southeastern Ohio Med but then transferred to Ohio State University Medical Center.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

The east bound lanes of Interstate 70 in Licking County have been re-opened after two separate accidents involving multiple vehicles.

The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol says the first accident happened around 3:15 p.m. Monday at the State Route 13 exit.

The second accident happened a short time later just east of State Route 13.

The Byesville Police Department says it is still investigating an accident that killed a 19-year-old man Thursday evening.

Officer Jason Schwarck says Steven Bilyeu was at the Starlight Gas Station on Main Street, where he spoke with the clerk on two occasions for cardboard and for assistance with his car.

A one month-old baby hurt in a three vehicle accident near Dresden this week has died. The Zanesville Highway Patrol says that Hali Newell passed away Thursday at at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. Two children are sent to the hospital with minor injuries after a two car accident.

It happened around 7:15 p.m on Maple Avenue in front of Whit's Frozen Custard.

Authorities say a Volkswagen Beetle was making a left turn onto Maple Avenue from the parking lot and struck a Toyota Tarus that was traveling in the turning lane.
