The Zanesville Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident near 1600 Dietz Lane.

It happened around 4:00 this afternoon.

Initial reports indicate there was a head-on collision between a van driven by a woman and another vehicle carrying two male teenagers.

The fatally injured victim is  being identified as one of the male teens. 

Authorities on the scene say the two other people were injured.

Two Harrison Township EMS personnel are sent to the hospital after a morning accident.

It happened around 10:45 a.m. on State Route 60 near South Zanesville, causing the road to close temporarily.

Authorities say a truck rear-ended into the back of the ambulance.

The Harrison Township Fire Department says the ambulance passenger was taken to the hospital with chest and back injuries and the driver of the ambulance was taken for precautionary reasons.

Two people are MedFlighted to Grant Medical Center in Columbus after a one vehicle accident.

It happened around 3 p.m. on State Route 93 near Crooksville.

The Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol says Paul Haas, of Heath, was traveling on his motorcycle when he hit a deer.

Troopers say Haas and his passenger were injured and needed medical attention but the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

One person is dead and two others are injured after an overnight accident.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. on State Route 13 in Trimble.

The Athens Post of the State Highway Patrol says 37-year-old Jason Riley, of Glouster, was traveling southbound when he lost control of his car, went off the left side of the road, and stuck a pole.

A 16-year-old female is seriously injured after a one vehicle accident Friday night.

The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol says she was traveling eastbound on Clay Pike when she went left of center and then back off the right side of the road. Sergeant Jeremy Mendenhall says the teenager proceeded to hit a mailbox, tree, and fence.

She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital and later MedFlighted to Columbus.

A man is taken to the hospital last night after losing control of his car.

It happened around 11 p.m. on South River Road/State Route 60.

The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol says Jeremy Porter was traveling northbound when he went off the right side of the road and struck a tree. Then he went off the left side of the road and rolled over before hitting an embankment.

Witness reports state Porter then proceeded to get out the back window of his car and to stumble...

A 16-year-old male is sent to the hospital after he was hit with a truck while riding his bike.

It happened in the 300 block of Florence Avenue around 3:30 p.m.

Zanesville Police Sergeant Chris Phipps says the teenager was attempting to cross the road and the driver of a truck tried to avoid him but ended up grazing the bike.

A driver is lucky to only suffer minor injuries after his car landed on it's roof this afternoon between Duncan Falls and Gaysport.

It happened at about 2:30 p.m. nearly two miles north of Gaysport on State Route 60.

The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol says they don't know when an area on ramp will re-open.

The Patrol says around 6:03am they got a call of a semi tanker had overturned on the southbound 79 ramp to Interstate 70 west in Licking County. The ramp will remain closed until the tanker can be moved. A dispatcher at the Granville Post says she's unsure what the tanker was carrying or if it was leaking any fluid.

One woman is sent to the hospital after an accident in downtown Zanesville.

It happened around 5 p.m. in front of the John McIntire Library.

Lieutenant Tony Courey says a woman was traveling northbound on 6th Street when she struck a parked car in the right lane.

"She hit it hard enough to cause it to get sideways and then turnover, " says Courey.

Courey says the accident caused heavy damage to both cars and the driver was injured.
