The State Highway Patrol said alcohol may have been a factor in an accident Saturday evening.
Trooper Stephen Williams said the driver of a Jeep Wrangler was traveling westbound on Old Wheeling Road when he clipped an underground phone line and a private gas well before crashing into a utility pole.
"The driver was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center for medical treatment, and we do believe that alcohol was a factor in this crash," said Williams.

A bicyclist was taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon following a crash at the intersection of State Routes 60 and 555.
