Authorities are labeling a late night fire in Zanesville suspicious.
According to Assistant Zanesville Fire Chief Dave Huey, a passing motorist reported the fire at 1016 Sharon Avenue shortly after 11 p.m. Monday.
Huey says when firefighters arrived on the scene flames were shooting out of the front of the home, which is where investigators believe the fire started. He says the fire is suspicious, because the home was vacant with no electricity.
