Zanesville Police said an incident on Larzelere Avenue is under investigation.

It happened around 11 p.m. Monday at the Larzelere Apartments, which is part of the Zanesville Metropolitan Housing Authority. Police said it was first reported as a stabbing, but the investigation revealed otherwise.

A Zanesville man pleads guilty to assaulting two corrections officers.

28-year-old Colt Lightfoot appeared Wednesday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court where he entered the plea to the charges which stemmed from an incident last month at the Zanesville City  jail.
 

Detetive Sgt. Ric Roush says Lightfoot became belligerent in the visitation area of the jail and when approached by officers he assaulted them. Both officers received minor injuries.

A Zanesville man accused of assaulting two corrections officers was arraigned Wednesday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court .
 

28-year-old Colt Lightfoot pleaded not guilty to two felony counts of assault on a corrections officer.

Zanesville Police Detective Sgt.  Ric Roush says on May 3rd, Lightfoot became belligerent in the visitation area of the city jail .

A Zanesville man pleads guilty in court Monday to assaulting a teacher.

18-year-old Timothy Rushing appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court where he entered the plea to one count of assault. 

Judge Mark Fleegle ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
 

According to the Prosecutor's Office, Rushing assaulted Foxfire teacher Patrick Murphy on May 18th of this year.
 

Rushing also plead guilty to robbery and vandalism charges...

A Zanesville man was sentenced in court Monday for an attack on his pregnant girlfriend.

47-year-old Robert Moody was originally facing charges of attempted murder, felonious assault and domestic violence for an assault on his girlfriend that occurred April 27.

Moody pled guilty to aggravated assault on a pregnant victim and the other charges were dropped. Monday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Judge Mark Fleegle sentenced Moody to 18 months in prison for...
