The trial of Richard Klein began Tuesday morning in Muskingum Common Pleas court.

In a morning session a jury of 5 men and 7 women were seated in the case. Two alternate jurors were also chosen.  Judge Mark Fleegle explained to the jury how the court case would be conducted, warning them not to discuss the case with anyone.

One year after a tragedy, a family is still looking for closure.

Monday is the one year anniversary of a tragedy at Ellis Dam in Dresden.

Three-year-old Ayden Cecil and two-year-old Anthony Tullius disappeared from their campsite.  Ayden's body was found in the Muskingum River shortly after the search began, but Anthony has never been found.

Kasey and Richard Klein were in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Tuesday for sentencing in the deaths of Kasey's two young sons 2-year-old Anthony Tullius and 3-year-old Ayden Cecil.

Both Richard and Kasey were sentenced by Judge Mark Fleegle to twelve years in prison and ordered to pay over $7,000 each in restitution. The pair was found guilty of manslaughter and endangering children on February 2nd.

The verdict of a Muskingum County couple is now in.

Richard and Kasey Klein were both found guilty of two counts of child endangerment and two counts of involuntary manslaughter. The charges are in connection with Mrs. Kleins two children 3-year-old Ayden Cecil and 2-year-old Anthony Tullius. Emotional testimony in the trial of Richard and Kasey Klein in the deaths of Kasey's two sons, Ayden and Anthony.

When Ayden's body was pulled from the Muskingum River in June he had shoes on over his one piece sleeper. But, Ayden's teacher testified and his mother agreed because of his cerebral palsy it wasn't possible for the boy to put on his shoes without help.

The Ellis Dam tragedy on the Muskingum River has driven one young girl and her family to step up and raise money for funeral expenses.

Since Saturday, our community has been gripped by the story of two young brothers who disappeared from their camp site at Ellis Dam in Dresden.
