Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine was in Zanesville today.

His office supports the Badges For Baseball program that builds relationships between youth and law enforcement.  This afternoon DeWine joined the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office, the Canton Police Department, the Youngstown Police Department and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Zanesville for a game of quickball at the Ohio University Zanesville/Zane State College Campus.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine was in Zanesville on Tuesday.

His office is funding the Badges For Baseball program that builds relationships between youth and law enforcement.  DeWine said it was created by the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Youth in our community will get a chance to pair up with law enforcement in a program designed to bring the two together.

Through the Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Cal Ripkin Senior Foundation a $20,000 grant was awarded to the Zanesville Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, Wednesday. The program is eight weeks and is called Ohio Badges for Baseball. The hands-on program teams law enforcement with youth ages 10-14 to help create a positive relationship between the two.
